Hello! I am Mrs. Lauren Bell, the K-6 school counselor. This is my third year working as a school counselor, but my tenth year in education. I started out teaching language arts to seventh and eighth graders before moving to the elementary setting, where I taught both sixth and fourth grade! I graduated from Wright State with a BS in 4-9 teaching, and then completed my Masters Degree in school counseling from the University of Dayton. (Go Flyers!) I am also an active member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the Ohio School Counselor Association (OSCA). 

As a school counselor, it is my job to promote positive development in academic, career, and social/emotional domains. I do this through:

• Short-term individual counseling
• Small group counseling
• Classroom lessons 
• Consulting and collaborating with parents, teachers, administrators, and students
• Responding to school crises or emergency situations
• Providing information, resources, and referrals to parents on a variety of issues
